Fiber clamshells, plates and bowls are manufactured from assorted plant fibers.
Construction: Fiber products are made assorted plant fibers including Wheat stalk, Grasses and Sugarcane. All annually renewable resources. No added PFAS. Lined fiber is coated with a bio-polymer lining, often PLA based.
Performance: Hot and cold foods. Freezer and microwave safe.
Compost-ability: Commercially compostable and breaks down well in home systems.
Replacing: Styrofoam, petroleum plastic and poly-lined paper. Recycling most of these materials is not going to happen in the municipal single stream, especially if they have food waste on them. Landfill bound. Apart from the ones that get away…coming soon to a creek near you.
